Bandipora, Jan 01(KNS) : Senior PDP leader and former Education Minister Naeem Akhtar on Thursday said that the National Conference (NC) has failed to fulfil its promises to the people of Kashmir since 1947, alleging that the masses were repeatedly misled in the name of rights, struggle, and autonomy.
Addressing a workers' convention in Bandipora, Akhtar said that despite decades of tall claims, the ground situation for the people of Kashmir remains unchanged. “The people were time and again deceived with hollow slogans, but their genuine aspirations were never addressed,” he asserted.
Earlier, Naeem Akhtar held a meeting at the PDP office in Bandipora, where he met newly joined party members Dr Mustafa of Aragam and Mudasir Ahmad, along with Inayat Hajini, residents of the Sonawari area.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWelcoming them into the party fold, Akhtar said their joining reflects the growing trust of people in the PDP’s vision and leadership.
He said that the People’s Democratic Party is witnessing renewed momentum in Bandipora and is steadily strengthening its grassroots base in the district. “PDP is emerging as a strong voice of the people in Bandipora, and more individuals are coming forward to join the party to work for the rights and dignity of the people,” he added.
The meeting was attended by several party workers and supporters from different corners of Bandipora district.(KNS)
