Qazigund, Mar 20 (KNS): At least nine tourists were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday.
An official said the accident took place near Qazigund when a tempo traveler (registration number PB01B-7720), heading from Jammu to Srinagar, collided with a divider near the Power Grid Station Nipora. The impact resulted in injuries to several passengers.
Following the accident, the injured were immediately rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment. Medical authorities have confirmed that all the injured individuals are in stable condition.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The injured have been identified as Vikram Kumar (39), son of Deva Ram from Rajasthan; Avala Krishna Chaitanya (28), son of Avala Bala Nagendra Krishna Murthy from Andhra Pradesh; Aftab (46), son of Mohd Vaseen Saray from Uttar Pradesh; Shanbo (38), son of Vakano from Mumbai; Khota (38), son of Maiy Ram from Rajasthan; Ramlal (40), son of Shamlal from Mumbai; Vabak Kumar (39), son of Vinod Kumar from Mumbai; Anil Kumar (34), son of Ray Kumar from Kalwa, Mumbai; and Rahul, son of Rashpal from Rajasthan.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. (KNS)
