Jammu, Dec 13 (KNS): Northern Railway’s Jammu Division will replace ICF coaches with LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches in Train No. 19224/19223 Sabarmati BG–Jammu Tawi Express from January 1, 2026, officials said on Friday.
The introduction of LHB coaches is aimed at enhancing passenger safety and comfort. The coaches feature an anti-telescopic design and Center Buffer Coupler (CBC), which reduce the risk of casualties in case of an accident.
They also include hydraulic suspension and improved ventilation systems and are capable of higher operational speeds.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu Division, Uchit Singhal, said the change is a step towards modernization of railway services.
“This train, with its new 20 LHB coaches, will commence operations from January 1, 2026. Passengers are requested to check the official railway website or the NTES app for detailed information,” he said.
Officials said the upgraded coaches will provide passengers with a safer and more comfortable travel experience on the Sabarmati BG–Jammu Tawi route.(KNS).
