Srinagar, Feb 7 (KNS): A high-level meeting chaired by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, took place at the party headquarters in Srinagar on Friday. Senior party leaders gathered to discuss the escalating civilian killings and arbitrary arrests occurring in the name of security across Jammu and Kashmir.
A spokesperson for the PDP stated that the meeting also covered key political and organizational matters, alongside the pressing challenges faced by the region’s residents. Mehbooba Mufti urged party leaders to take the membership campaign to every corner of Jammu and Kashmir to expand the party’s base and enhance its support.
Key party leaders present included Mir Mohammad Fayaz from Kupwara, senior leaders Naeem Akhtar and Asiya Naqash, Additional General Secretaries Advocate Nasir Hussain and Rajat Randhawa, and the party's Additional Spokesperson. (KNS)
