RCB Thrash CSK by 50 Runs at Chepauk

Chennai March 28 (KNS): Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a commanding 50-run win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk, marking only their second victory at the venue in IPL history.

Batting first, RCB posted 196/7, with Rajat Patidar scoring 51 and Phil Salt contributing 32. Despite a strong start, RCB lost wickets in the final overs, but Tim David’s late fireworks ensured a challenging target for CSK. In reply, CSK crumbled under pressure, managing only 146/8. Early wickets from Josh Hazlewood (3/21) and Yash Dayal (2/18) left them struggling at 30/3 in the PowerPlay. Rachin Ravindra (41) and MS Dhoni (30*) put up some resistance, but RCB’s bowlers ensured a comfortable victory.

CSK now face Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati in two days, while RCB will host Gujarat Titans on April 2.(KNS)
