Sajad Lone Criticizes Farooq Abdullah and CM for Meeting Kiren Rijiju

Srinagar, Apr 7 (KNS): Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone has strongly criticized the recent meeting between Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and senior political figures from Jammu and Kashmir, including former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and the sitting Chief Minister, believed to be Omar Abdullah.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Lone expressed his disappointment, stating that the least the Muslims of India deserved was that the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir — the only Muslim-majority province in the country — stay away from Rijiju in protest. The Union Minister had recently presented the controversial Waqf Bill in Parliament, which has drawn criticism from several quarters for allegedly undermining the autonomy of Muslim religious institutions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"The least Muslims of India deserved was that in J&K, the only Muslim majority province in India, the CM as a mark of protest stays away from Mr Kiren Rijju, who presented the waqf bill. Instead, he tags along Farooq sahib as well. What a shame," Lone wrote in his tweet.

The post was accompanied by pictures showing Farooq Abdullah and others interacting with Rijiju during what appeared to be a public engagement. (KNS)
