Sajad Lone questions govt performance, raises development, public issues in Kupwara

 Kupwara, Sep 2(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference president and MLA Sajad Gani Lone on Tuesday questioned the performance of the government and raised several issues related to development, public services and the functioning of government departments during a tour of various areas of Kupwara district.

 
Talking to reporters in Kupwara, Lone raised concerns over the pace of development and alleged shortage of staff in various departments.
 
He also raised the issue of salaries of Gram Rozgar Sahayaks (GRS), the functioning of the Government Medical College, matters concerning the Education Department and other issues affecting people at the grassroots level.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
"It appears that the government is nowhere on the ground," Lone said, stressing that mere announcements were not enough and that people needed to see tangible development and effective governance.
 
The Peoples Conference leader called for greater accountability and urged the government to address the grievances of the people of Kupwara and ensure that administrative and developmental institutions function effectively.
 
Lone had undertaken an extensive tour of various areas of the district and interacted with people during the visit.(KNS).
