BARAMULLA, DECEMBER, 12 (KNS): Baramulla district continued witnessing an exceptional display of community engagement and awareness during the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a comprehensive campaign aimed at enlightening the public about ongoing government welfare schemes for holistic development.
Secretary Tourism and Culture, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, led the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Boinyar, Subdivision Uri of Baramulla which was participated by Sub Divisional Magistrate Uri, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and other senior officers besides PRIs and people from neighbouring villages.
During the event, Dr. Syed Abid inspected various stalls set up by different departments such as Health, PDD, Agriculture, ICDS, Eduction among others, showcasing an extensive array of government schemes, services, and facilities available for the public's benefit.

Subsequently, Secretary administered pledge, urging officers and the public to commit to the nation's integrity and progress.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Syed Abid emphasized that initiatives such as the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra serve as a vital bridge, fostering closer ties between the government and the public, effectively reducing existing gaps for inclusive development.
Continuing his address, Secretary highlighted the importance of active participation by the general public in availing government-run beneficiary schemes, such as Ujwala, Ayushman, Jal Jeevan and other vital initiatives.
Commending the district administration for their relentless efforts in disseminating awareness about these schemes, Dr. Syed Abid reaffirmed commitment of the government to benefit every citizen in the district.
Later, Secretary distributed gas connections under Ujwala scheme, sanction letters, land passbooks, Ayush Cards and other certificates among the eligible beneficiaries.(KNS)
