Srinagar, April 4 (KNS): Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid has strongly criticized the continued house detention of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, for the second consecutive Friday, calling it an undemocratic move that restricts his religious and official duties. The organization condemned the authorities' actions, stating that such hostility is causing deep distress among the Muslims of Kashmir.
Mirwaiz, in a statement on X, expressed his frustration over the restrictions, stating, "Another Friday, another house arrest, and the authorities’ Jama Masjid phobia continues."
He further warned of the increasing marginalization of Muslims, particularly after the passage of the Waqf Bill, which he described as highly discriminatory.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe remarked that at the current rate of regression, a time might come when Muslims would require permissions and verification to enter mosques or even be buried in their graveyards.
