Bandipora, Apr 18 (KNS): Students of Polytechnic College Bandipora are facing significant challenges as their college compound, located on the banks of Wular in Watapora area, has been completely submerged due to incessant rains over the past few days.
The flooded compound has made it difficult for students to access their classrooms, causing disruption to their studies.
Expressing their grievances, one of the student told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that despite raising the issue multiple times, their concerns have fallen on deaf ears.
"The inundated compound has made it nearly impossible for us to navigate to their classrooms which is affecting our attendance and academic progress," she added.
In addition to the flooded compound, she said they are also grappling with connectivity issues exacerbated by the lack of a concrete road.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
"Even a slight rainfall results in the road becoming muddy, making it hazardous for us to walk to college. This further compounds the challenges faced by us, hindering our ability to attend classes and access educational resources", she said.
She also highlighted the absence of transport services on the road leading to the college, exacerbating their commute woes. "With no viable transportation options available, we are left stranded, further impeding our access to education".
"We are hopeful that our concerns will be addressed promptly so that we can resume our studies without hindrance which will ensure a conducive learning environment for all of us", she added.(KNS)
