Authorities have urged people not to undertake any journey on the highway, especially on the stretch between Nashri and the NAVYUG Tunnel, until the repair work is fully completed and the road surface is declared traffic-worthy.

The Jammu-Srinagar highway is the lifeline of the region, connecting the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country. Frequent weather disruptions not only affect the movement of commuters but also the transportation of essential supplies.

The traffic department has advised commuters to follow regular updates and avoid planning any travel on this route until the road is reopened officially. (KNS)
