Srinagar, May 06 (KNS): Administrative Secretary Health & Medical Education Department J&K, Bhupinder Kumar Saturday said that Kashmir is ideal place for medical tourism and time is not far when outside patients will come to Kashmir soon for medical treatment.
"Kashmir is ideal place for medical tourism. Soon you will see patients of other parts of country and abroad will visit Kashmir Valley for medical treatment," Administrative Secretary H&ME Department, Bhupinder Kumar as per KNS said.
He said the government of J&K is massively investing into health sector to provide quality based healthcare services to patients. "Huge investment in health sector has been done by J&K Government for past few years. A 200-bedded hospital in Srinagar will be started soon," he said.

He added a high-level delegation from outside J&K made a Kashmir visit in recent past and showed its interest in investing in health sector. "Due to interest of investors, 150 MBBS seated college will also come up in Sempora, outskirts of Srinagar. Government is supporting and welcomes those showing interest in investing in health sector. The investors have shown a great interest and confidence," he added.
About AIMS Awantipora, he said the work is going on with full pace. The Government has fixed next year as deadline and we are hopeful we will meet the deadline. (KNS)
