Srinagar Mar 22 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar Saturday expressed grave concern over the exorbitant spending of public funds on chartered flights during the last three years emphasising that such reckless expenditure is intolerable and demands a thorough investigation.

In a statement released from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Imran expressed grave concern over the use of chartered flights and excessive spending amounting to Rs 35 crore in J-K.

Imran emphasized the urgent need for a thorough investigation to determine the validity of these actions. “Who approved such extravagant spending? Who were the individuals benefiting from it? Why was it left out in the sun in such a manner? It is imperative that those responsible for these actions are held accountable. The misuse of public funds and resources cannot be tolerated. The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve transparency and accountability.”

Shocked by the BJP's attempts to shield mishandling of funds, questioning, "What is bothering the BJP? We are simply seeking accountability. Who is the BJP trying to protect? The chaos caused by BJP MLAs clearly indicate their involvement in the embezzlement.”(KNS)
