Jammu, Jan 21 (KNS) ; The Jammu Division of Northern Railway has extended the service of Special Reserved Train No. 04081/04082 between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in response to high passenger demand.
This marks the latest in a series of extensions for the service, which has become a preferred travel option.
The revised schedule is as follows Train Number 04081 from New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will operate for four additional trips. Its service, which originally concluded on January 17, 2026, will now also run from January 23 to January 26, 2026.
Train Number 04082 from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi will also run for four extra trips.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHaving originally ended operations on January 18, 2026, it will now additionally run from January 24 to January 27, 2026.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal stated that the decision followed the train's consistent full occupancy. He said the service has proven to be a successful and economical option for travelers, benefiting passengers not only from Jammu and Kashmir but also from intermediate stations including Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, and Ambala Cantt.
Passengers are advised to verify the train timetable via Dial 139 or the National Train Enquiry System, NTES, prior to their journey. (KNS)
