Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNS): The State Health Agency (SHA) of Jammu and Kashmir has made significant strides in healthcare access since October 2024, processing over 54,000 cases across both private and public hospitals under the AB-PMJAY SEHAT scheme.
An official said that it was difficult for the dialysis centre to run the scheme free of cost to the patient due to financial constraints. The SHA took initiative to segregate such cases and give priority.
An official said that the scheme has also seen a remarkable 15,000 dialysis cases processed since October, with claim submissions amounting to approximately Rs 10 crore.
This highlights the government's dedication to addressing the region's healthcare needs and ensuring timely access to vital medical treatments, he added.

Speaking to KNS, Sanjiv Gadkar, CEO of SHA says the scale of claim submissions and treatments processed reflects our commitment to making healthcare accessible and affordable to every resident of Jammu and Kashmir.”
