JAMMU, APRIL 11 (KNS):- Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department (APD), Atal Dulloo, today held a review meeting regarding roll out of KISAN SAMPARK ABHIYAN in Jammu and Kashmir here at Civil Secretariat Jammu.
Director General, Sheep Husbandry Department, Director, Agriculture Jammu/Kashmir, Director, Animal Husbandry Jammu/Kashmir, Director, Horticulture Jammu/Kashmir, Director Extension, SKUAST-J, all district Nodal Officers and district officers of APD and allied departments were present in the meeting in person and virtually.
Threadbare discussion was held on various aspects regarding successful roll out of Kisan Sampark Abhiyan in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was informed that 18 central sponsored schemes haves been identified including Rashtriya Gokul Mission, KCC and others. It was further informed in the meeting that resource persons have already been identified for smooth conduct of awareness camps to educate the farmers about these schemes.
The meeting was further informed that during the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan the pamphlets will be distributed among the farmers in three languages including English, Urdu and Hindi containing details on various schemes of Agriculture Department.
ACS exhorted upon the nodal officers and district officer to clear all impediments hindering smooth implementation of the Abhiyan.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe stressed upon the officers to ensure that the PRIs actively participate in the camps during Kisan Sampark Abhiyan. He also directed the concerned to submit daily feedback of the program to the concerned quarter.
Later, Atal Dulloo held a review meeting regarding formulation of Farmer Producer Officers (FPOs) under Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) in J&K.
Commissioner Secretary, Co-operative Department, Yasha Mudgal; DG SHD; Directors, AHD; Directors Horticulture; Director Extension, SKUAST-J; MD JKHP&M; MD, NRLM and other officers of concerned departments were present in the meeting in person and online.
Agriculture Expert, Rajeshwari gave PowerPoint Presentation about agenda points including department wise distribution of FPOs under HADP scheme, distribution of FIGs and Krishi Mitras, challenges in FPO formation and structure of training and capacity building.
ACS enquired about the allocation of funds for the FPO formation and other activities. He directed the concerned officers to prepare list of resource persons to be trained in FPOs formation.
He asked the Directors Agriculture and Horticulture of both the divisions to recommend the youths for training from SKUAST Jammu/Kashmir so that they set up their own businesses in agriculture sector.(KNS)
