Ahsan Pardesi Demands Inclusion of Vethpara, Padshahi Bagh in Block Jurisdiction

Srinagar, March 4 (KNS): MLA Lal Chowk, Ahsan Pardesi, raised a crucial issue in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly regarding the exclusion of Vethpara and Padshahi Bagh from voter lists and their absence from designated municipal and block jurisdictions.

During the session, Pardesi highlighted that this administrative gap has left the residents of these areas deprived of basic amenities, developmental schemes, and employment opportunities. He pointed out that due to their non-inclusion in official records, locals face difficulties in government recruitments, as many applications require specifying a ward or block number—something these residents cannot provide.

"There is a status quo over development in these areas, with no significant progress in infrastructure or civic facilities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelEssential public services remain neglected due to this administrative ambiguity," Pardesi stated.

He urged the government to address the issue at the earliest by including Vethpara and Padshahi Bagh in the block jurisdiction. According to him, this step is necessary to ensure due representation and access to government welfare programs, infrastructure projects, and employment opportunities.

"Only through proper inclusion can these areas benefit from the schemes meant for public welfare," he emphasized.

Following his question in the Assembly, the government assured early redressal of the issue, acknowledging its significance for the affected residents. (KNS)
