Srinagar, Nov 21(KNS): Kulgam Police on November 20 arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession during a checkpoint operation.
A specific checkpoint was set up at Batingo, Kund, by a police team from Police Station Kund. During the operation, a suspicious individual was intercepted, and a search led to the recovery of 36 grams of brown sugar-like contraband substances. The individual was identified as Mohd Maqbool Lone, son of Sanaullah Loan, a resident of Waripora, currently residing in Ruzloo.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
A case has been registered at Police Station Kund under FIR No. 31/2024, and an investigation is underway.
Police have urged community members to provide information about drug-related activities in their areas, assuring that strict action will be taken against those involved in drug peddling.(KNS).
