Police Attach Property Worth Lakhs in NDPS Case in Karnah

Karnah:(KNS) As part of intensified campaign against narcotic trafficking and unlawful activities, Kupwara Police have attached a residential property worth approximately ?8.49 lakh belonging to an accused involved in an NDPS case.
The attached property, a residential house, belongs to Khalid Ahmad Paswal, son of Qasir Din Paswal, resident of Shamispora, Karnah. The action was carried out by Police Station Karnah in connection with FIR No. 53/2023, registered under Sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act, Sections 7/25 of the Indian Arms Act, and Sections 13, 18, 23, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAP Act).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Police said the attachment was executed strictly in accordance with due legal procedure after the property was identified as having been acquired through proceeds of crime.
 
District Police Kupwara reiterated their commitment to taking firm and sustained action against individuals involved in narcotics trafficking and other unlawful activities, adding that such measures are aimed at dismantling the financial backbone of criminal networks and ensuring public safety.
